Giovanna Piovanetti

Giovanna Piovanetti serves as the Executive President for Corporacion para el Financiamiento Empresarial del Comercio y las Comunidades (now with the new brand name “Lendreams”) for the last 21 years. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from the University of Puerto Rico and a Law Degree from the Interamerican University School of Law. The organization she leads is a Certified CDFI, Rural Development Intermediary Lender, SBA Certified Development Company, SBA Community Advantage Lender and an SBA Microlender covering Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. The organization also offers educational initiatives focused on underserved communities known as the Practical Kitchen Academy and Practical Entrepreneurship Academy. She has extensive experience in nonprofit leadership, federal funding compliance, financial and portfolio risk management and strategic leadership. Ms. Piovanetti also serves as an Advisory Board Member of Popular Community Capital to evaluate economic development projects in Puerto Rico, USVI, Florida and New York and since 2016 also serves as Region 2 Director (representing Puerto Rico, USVI, New York and New Jersey) and as a Board Member of the National Association of Development Companies (NADCO). Her passion is to create new projects to promote economic development by alleviating poverty, creating more job opportunities and to inspire small business owners to reach their highest levels of financial prosperity.
