CBA Fund Senior Specialist

As CBA Fund Senior Specialist, Marcella supports programs to deliver services provided by CBA Fund, CBA’s CDFI Intermediary, to help expand the capacity of nonprofits to provide safe and affordable small dollar loans and credit building products in their communities.

Prior to joining CBA, Marcella worked for 20+ years promoting financial inclusion and community development in low-middle income countries. She worked with a variety of international development organizations (NGOs, UN, USAID, World Bank Group) as a consultant living in Washington, D.C. and prior to that as a manager and technical advisor living in Southeast Asia and Africa for 15 years. She has managed financial inclusion programs and projects, delivered technical assistance to microfinance institutions, conducted market research on digital financial services, and created knowledge resources such as CNHED’s Guide to Small Business Financing in D.C.

Marcella holds a Master’s in International Business Administration from the IE Business School in Spain, a M.S. in International Development Management from the American University in Washington, D.C., and a B.A. in International Trade and Relations from the University of Northern Colorado.
