Introduction

Credit Builders Alliance (“CBA”, “we”, “us”, “our”) respects the privacy of our website users (“User”, “Users”). This policy sets out the information that CBA collects from our website users, how we use that information internally, how and when we share that information, and the available choices for website users. Personal Information CBA Collects 

CBA collects information provided during registration for access to a site, including information about the User and User’s organization, for purposes of granting access to appropriate resources.  

CBA collects information in the course of applications, including for Services. This information may include information on the User submitting the application, as well as for the organization and organizational practices that may be related to the requested Services. 

We collect information in form of surveys for the purpose of improving Services, enhancing or managing the Sites, and better communicating information related to use of the Sites or Services. 

CBA collects information for event registration, including registrations for webinars, training courses, and in-person meetings to assist with attendee management, communications around the event, and execution of a successful event for all attendees. 

CBA’s sites use web beacons, including cookies, to deliver content that matches your specific interests, to streamline repeated access to information, and to improve site performance and relevance for Users. 

CBA uses your IP address to assist in troubleshooting issues with access, CBA’s server configuration, and to administer the website. 

In cases where Users purchase a CBA Service or donate to CBA through our websites, CBA uses a third party payment processor, PayPal, Inc., to collect payment information. Payments made either through a PayPal account or via credit card are encrypted and transmitted to PayPal directly. CBA does not store payment information and does not control and are not responsible for the payment processor’s use or retention of that information. Use of Your Personal Information 

CBA may use User personal information to fulfill Programs, Services, or use of the Sites. Uses of personal information include provision of Services, response to requests for information about Services, administration and troubleshooting of the Sites, Site analysis and improvement processes, the development of new Services, communication about the Sites and Services, and to otherwise execute business operations and comply with the law. With user consent, CBA may also aggregate or de-identify personal information for purposes including impact tracking, research, analysis, and development of new Services. 

Sharing of Personal Information 

Unless otherwise disclosed in this privacy policy, CBA will never share User personal information with any third party outside of CBA’s direction without your consent. We will never sell User personal information to a third party. CBA may share your personal information under the following circumstances: 

CBA may share User personal information with third party service providers, agents, contractors, support organizations, or business partners in connection CBA’s use of those companies or individual for specific services.  

CBA may share User personal information as required for compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including responses to subpoenas or other legal processes, to protect against misuse of our Websites or Services, and to protect our rights or the rights, property, or safety of other users of our Sites or Services.  

CBA may transfer or otherwise share some or all of its assets, including User personal information in the event of a business reorganization, merger, or acquisition. 

Service Providers and Plugins 

CBA uses third party companies to facilitate our Services and manage our Sites, including but not limited to maintenance, database management, registration and membership configuration, payment processing, communications, data and web analytics, and the general improvement of the Sites. These third party companies and applications have access to User data to perform these action on behalf of CBA and in accordance with their individual terms, conditions, and privacy policies.

Security 

CBA is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of all retained personal information. We have implemented reasonable security measures and safeguards on the technological, physical, and organizational process levels focused on protecting against the loss or unauthorized access of personal information. We cannot guarantee the security of our servers or websites or the security of data while in transmission. CBA recommends all users exercise caution when providing personal information on the internet. In the event of a security breach, CBA will promptly notify all impacted users and the relevant authorities, if required by law. 

Children’s privacy 

CBA’s websites are not intended for children. CBA does not knowingly collect personal information for children below the age of 13 and does not retain information known to be from children under the age of 13. 

Changes to your personal information 

If you need to update the personal information that you have submitted to us to correct any inaccurate information, you can contact us by emailing privacy@creditbuildersalliance.org. CBA may retain information beyond the date of completion for a program, for a period of time that is consistent with applicable law. 

California Privacy Rights 

California residents are entitled under California law to request, once per year, information that was disclosed to third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes, if any disclosure occurred. CBA does not disclose any information to third parties specifically for direct marketing purposes. To protect the privacy and security of all users’ information, CBA may request additional information from you to confirm your identity prior to providing documentation of any your information that CBA has retained. You may contact privacy@creditbuildersalliance.org to request this information and exercise your right. CBA will respond to requests within a reasonable timeframe, according to applicable laws. 

International Users 

The site is intended for use in and by individuals accessing in from the United States. This site is operated in accordance with the laws of the United States, and visitors to the site should be aware that the laws of the United States may differ from those of their countries of residence. You hereby consent to the transmission to and storage of data within the United States. Please do not use the Site if you do not agree to the transfer and storage of your personal data by CBA as set out in this Privacy Policy or if doing so is illegal in your country of residence. 

Changes to Privacy Policy 

CBA may make updates to this Privacy Policy. All changes will take effect upon the posting of an updated version of the Privacy Policy. In the case of significant changes, CBA will provide a prominent notice of any such changes. To the extent permitted by applicable law, your continued use of our websites and services after the effective date of such notice constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
