Chuck joined CWC in 2017 as Director of Financial Services after a 34-year career in marketing and communications, including 25 years running his own firm, CJDR, Inc. He was named Executive Director in 2018.
A 35-year resident of Charlotte, Chuck is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, and sits on the Board of Visitors of its College of Communications and Information. He is a member of WIE Champions (the men’s affiliate of Charlotte’s Women’s Inter-Cultural Exchange) and Myers Park Presbyterian Church, and volunteers with Second Chance English Setters and Above and Beyond, national dog rescue organizations.

In his spare time, Chuck is a writer (with his first novel recently completed) and musician, playing “anything with strings or keys.” He and Aprill enjoy travel, having been to 49 of 50 states and 14 countries. They have hiked rim-to-rim across the Grand Canyon, been stalked by a mountain lion in Yellowstone, explored lava tubes in Hawaii and driven the Million Dollar Highway, living to tell about it all. They share their home with two rescue dogs: Liana the English setter and Rocco the mutt.
